Units

Mustang District has a Scout program for every age group. Cub Scout Packs are for boys ages 7 11, Boy Scout Troops are made up of boys from 11 18, and Venture Crews consist of young women and young men from 14 20 years of age. Then there are Explorer Posts and Varsity Teams. The Varsity Teams are made up of young men Boy Scout age, and the Explorer Posts consist of young men and women interested in Police or Fire work, or similar type of professions.

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

The Boy Scouts of America is the nation's foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training.

In the future, Scouting will continue to:

• Offer young people responsible fun and adventure;
• Instill in young people lifetime values and develop in them ethical character as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law;
• Train young people in citizenship, service, and leadership;
• Serve America's communities and families with its quality, values-based program.
